Artifex Mundi – record-breaking revenues and growth investments

07.07.2023

In June, the publicly listed game developer and publisher earned record-breaking revenues of PLN 6.8 million, 130% more than the year before and 5% more than in May of the current year. In the 2nd quarter of the current year, Artifex Mundi’s revenues increased by 102%, reaching a record-breaking amount of PLN 19.6 million. The publicly listed company’s driving force is the dynamically developing Unsolved game, whose KPIs improved considerably in the 2nd quarter of the current year.

In June, the revenues from the free-to-play segment increased by 222% YoY, reaching PLN 6.1 million, and in the whole 2nd quarter, they amounted to PLN 17.2 million (with PLN 5.8 million the year before). In the last month, most of the revenues from the segment and most of the revenues of the entire company were generated by Unsolved, which provides players with free-to-play access to some of the best HOPA games available in the Artifex Mundi’s portfolio. In June, the revenues from its commercialization increased by 253% YoY, reaching PLN 6 million, and they were 8% higher than the revenues in May. In the 2nd quarter of the current year, Unsolved generated revenues of PLN 16.8 million, compared to PLN 5 million in the 2nd quarter of 2022.

Przemysław Błaszczyk, President of Artifex Mundi, highlights the record-breaking level of player acquisition expenditures in June of the current year, which was reached despite the seasonally unfavorable market conditions. In the previous month, they amounted to PLN 4 million, in comparison with less than PLN 3.2 million the month before and PLN 0.9 million in June 2022. “The analytical tools that we’ve developed enable us to precisely shape and control the earning potential of the subsequent groups of players acquired by Unsolved. In line with the strategy that hasn’t changed for several quarters, we expect a specific return on the capital invested. The dynamic increase in Unsolved’s marketing expenditures was possible thanks to the significant improvement of its monetization in the 2nd quarter. The significant growth of Unsolved’s userbase, which has been recorded since the beginning of the year, combined with the changes that have already been implemented in the game as well as its further development, definitely bodes well for Artifex Mundi’s results in the coming quarters,” says Przemysław Błaszczyk, President of the publicly listed company.
